I Fell for a Man on a European Cruise... Who I Thought Was Married!
Love Story • Vigo, Spain
She boarded a seven-night cruise expecting bingo with her dad, not a love story with the man she thought was married.
What was supposed to be a family birthday holiday turned into an unexpected cruise romance across Spain and Portugal. With her sister cancelling at the last minute, she expected seven nights of cocktails, bingo and spending time with her dad. Then she noticed a handsome stranger travelling with another woman. Assuming he was married, she immediately ruled him out. But one conversation at the bar changed everything. What followed was a week of unexpected attraction, embarrassing misunderstandings and a holiday romance that had a surprisingly good chance of surviving back home.
Ginger Afterthoughts…
I think it is hilarious that She'd already made up her mind about him before they'd even spoken. First, she decided he was married. Then she decided he wasn't a particularly good husband because he wasn't affectionate enough. That's quite a lot of judgement based on absolutely nothing! But I think we're all guilty of doing that sometimes. We say we're open to meeting someone, but we're also incredibly quick to decide who's available, who's our type, and who isn't worth our time. And the other thing I love is that the cruise wasn't actually what made this relationship work. Yes, it brought them together, but it was the ordinary dates afterwards that made it last. So here's what I'm wondering: how many potentially wonderful people have we ruled out because we've made up an entire story about them before we've even had a conversation?
